Machu Picchu

Hope you all had a good week!! I definitely did. Yesterday we took our trip to Machu Picchu, a really really awesome experience, this trip was actually to kind of celebrate 18 months in the mission which is pretty crazy, time goes by fast and I'm grateful for all that's happened and that's happening. Words can't even describe how pretty Machu Picchu was, hopefully my pictures can somewhat help you grasp it haha.

Other than that this week was pretty normal, we've had lots of lessons and we're happy with that. We had to push back Natalie's baptism for after general conference which is okay! That family is progressing a ton and they're doing really well.
I don't have much time but I hope you all have a good week!

I have a ton of pictures so I'll probably just send a couple this week and more next week:)

March 19, 2018

Hello! Hope you all had a good week! We've been working pretty dang hard but sometimes not everything goes how you want it, we've still been looking for Jhon, he kinda dissappeared which stinks but hopefully we'll find him soon. Nathaly was planned to be baptized this coming Saturday but her  dad doesn't come back from Cusco until Sunday so it looks like we're gonna have to postpone her baptism. :( BUT it's okay.
We have an investigator Maricela who's been progressing a lot (I forgot if I''ve talked about her or not) recently she just told us that she finally received her answer about the Book of Mormon while reading it on her way to Cusco so we're hoping to help her get to church this Sunday, she has a daughter with special needs so it's really hard for Maricela to leave her alone or try to take care of her during everything. But that's why the Relief Society is being awesome and helping her out with that. LOVE this ward.

This week we did a super fun service- I'm sure in a couple pictures you guys have seen the funny three wheel motorcycle taxi things, we decided to do a free moto wash in the church parking lot, it was insane how many motos were washed that day, (and how many people heard the gospel;) Very cool day and to be able to meet so many people.

So this week I've been studying a lot about the story of Christ walking on the water and then Peter hopping out to join him but then getting scared and starting to drown. Very symbolic story to me and if you guys want to read it and apply it to your life here- Matthew 14:26-31, There's many times in the mission where I think I can do everything myself, but I literally can't do anything without the Lord's help, Peter could never have walked on water without having so much faith in the Lord. So basically everything is possible, we just gotta believe it. very cliche but true.

But I hope you all have an awesome week! I know I definitely will, so I won't be sending an email until Tuesday because Monday I will be doing something very special and the pictures are hints:) Love you all!!

Demon Llama

This week was super packed, we went to Cusco on Wednesday for interviews, on Saturday we had our zone conference with President Herrera and yesterday was stake conference and an activity in our ward. I love being busy, feels good.
Our activity went really well, all of the missionaries in our zone and the members in our ward got together and we visited almost every less active and other investigators, really fun and a good way to get close with our members..

We taught Nathaly this week and she came to stake conference with her entire family as well, so excited for her and her family. Everyone's doing really well, Raul non-stop goes to church on his own so we're pretty proud haha. We have lots of people to teach right now but the matter now is helping them progress and come to church, which is kind of a lot to do but we're hoping to get them all there. Loving this ward and teaching everyone that we have. Elder Sanjines' training is coming closer to the end which I'm pretty sad about but we just gotta take advantage of the time we have!

So this week I met Tina, but not a nice Tina. I honestly think this llama was just recently caught cause it was freaking it when I tried to go touch it haha, the stereotype with llamas is that they spit a lot, I confirm this. In the picture with me if you look closely it was setting up with spit launch, and 2 seconds after the picture he got me haha. So yah that's just a fun little adventure, kinda random too, we saw it as we were looking for someone in a neighborhood and just a random wild llama in the street haha.

Sorry I don't have a lot but you all already know what I'm doin, and it's the best. Love you all!!!!

D&C 64:33-34
33 Wherefore, be not aweary in bwell-doing, for ye are laying the foundation of a great work. And out of csmall thingsproceedeth that which is great.
34 Behold, the Lord arequireth the bheart and a cwilling mind; and the willing and dobedient shall eeat the good of the land of Zion in these last days.

ok actually really sorry cause pictures are not sending at all this week cause I think we're in another internet that's run through a potato BUT I hope you all have a good week and send me pictures instead!! haha, Chow!!

PICTURES CAME!!

Raul recibió el Sacerdocio

Long week! Don't know why but it's all good. As the title says Raul got the Priesthood on Sunday! He'll be blessing the sacrament this Sunday;) We've been trying to talk with Jhon but we haven't been able to find him recently which is sad, but I'm sure we'll find him soon. Jhon looks up to Raul a ton which is super cool, Raul wants to help out all of his friends and family so that they can hear about the gospel. Super cool.
We've been visiting Natalie's family a ton and they ALL came to church yesterday!! Natalie will be baptized on March 24th so we've been doing a lot to help her prepare for it. Her dad as well.

Elder Sanjines went to Cusco this week to do some paperwork for his I.D. and I got to stay a big part of the time with a future missionary Kevin, he leaves on his mission in a week to Trujillo Peru and it was so much dang fun to help him out and show him what the mission will be like. Kinda made me wish I went out with the missionaries more before I left. SO if anyones about to leave on their mission go with the missionaries! It's super cool and hopefully they'll help you out!!

Sorry I don't have a lot to say this week!! (pictures either but I promise very soon some dope pics will be sent) Everything is good!!! I'm loving what we're doing and the ward where we're working.
Hope you all have an awesome week!!! Go help someone this week.

D&C 123:16-17

16 You know, brethren, that a very large ship is abenefited very much by a very small helm in the time of a storm, by being kept workways with the wind and the waves.
17 Therefore, dearly beloved brethren, let us acheerfully bdo all things that lie in our power; and then may we stand still, with the utmost assurance, to see the csalvation of God, and for his arm to be revealed.
