Familia Colque

(I'm sending the pictures from last week, from the conference and our trip to Machu Pitumarca)

This week was awesome, we've been taking all the priests out with us to appointments and they've been a huge help, one priest Alvaro took us to a family he knew awhile back and wanted to see if they would listen to us. They totally did, we showed up at their door just wanting to get to know them and right away they let us in and we talked for awhile, really really nice family. They are Crisostomo and Reina and they have two sons Ivan and Carlos, who are 13 and 11. Carlos came to church yesterday which was super cool, crazy how fast they already want to learn. They don't really have a concept of who God and Christ are and I think these are the first people I'm teaching who are like that, it's very different. But I'm super grateful that we get to explain to them who our Father is and what Christ has done for us. We've been really careful and patient in helping them understand and it's going really well. I really really hope they continue to progress and hopefully all of them come to church this week!!!

Also I wanna do an update on Walter and Yaneth in Puno, they're still trying really hard to get married and they're being really patient about it, their son Nicolas got baptized about a month ago! So that's even more motivation for them, I've still been thinking so much about them and I really hope they keep trying and seeing how awesome this gospel is.

I hope you all are doing well! I also hope everyone has an amazing Star Wars day on Friday. May the spirit be with you.
D&C 6:33-34
33 Fear not to do good, my sons, for whatsoever ye sow, that shall ye also reap; therefore, if ye sow good ye shall also reap good for your reward.
34 Therefore, fear not, little flock; do good; let earth and hell combine against you, for if ye are built upon my rock, they cannot prevail.

English and Inkan Ruins

This week was really good, we had a conference on Thursday in Cusco so I got to see some of the group I came with, nice to see them after so long. The conference went really well, learned a lot.

In terms of investigators we're excited for Maricela, she's so close to taking a big step in her life it's just so hard to get her to church, Hopefully this week she goes!!! We've been finding lots of people but dang no one does their homework we give them so it's kinda hard, people are always "busy", butttttt it's all good. I'm excited for the upcoming weeks, hopefully everyhthing goes smoothly and we find new people!!! Nathaly is doing good, she's coming to church with her family everyyy week and they're lovin it, lots of support from the ward which helps a TON. Raul is awesome as usual, we're tryna set him up with the other YSA in the stake;) cause I mean cmon it'd help him a ton to stay on course in the gospel.

I've been teaching English every Friday and it's been going super well, people love it. We've been finding tons of people that aren't members cause the ward always brings their friends and they always wonder why there's a white dude in their city in the first place sooooo it gets things started:) It's probably my favorite idea to find people, hopefully I end up doing it my entire mission.

But yah everything's been really good, excited to see what comes next. I hope you all have an awesome week!! Sometimes it's hard doing the same thing every day but there's always something different to see and experience, just gotta look for it. Love you all!!

--If the pictures don't send I'll send them next week!!----

Eat sleep teach

I'm exhuasted, I guess that's a good thing though. Nathaly got confirmed yesterday at church in front of everyyyone so we're pretty excited about that, I'm excited to keep visiting that family and help them eventually get to the temple:) Very grateful for this experience to see them progress and Nathaly get baptized.

Raul is going to Institute! He's lovin it too. We still visit him about twice a week, he's pretty much the coolest dude on this planet, just sayin.

Now, we need to find more people to teach, it's kind of been a struggle, this past week but slowly we'll start talking to everyone and teach all of Sicuani;)

That's pretty much it for this week, we'll be going to Cusco this Thursday for a conference so I mean that's something different:) Sorry I don't write a lot, but just wanna let you all know that I'm doing really well, trying really hard to make these last months count. It's not everyday in your life that you get to talk about Christ in Spanish with a Bolivian by your side in the mountains of Peru. Gotta make it count.

Hope you all have a good week!! Psalms 46:10

10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exaltedamong the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

Nathaly's Baptism

Yessss, we've been planning this baptism for everrrr and we finally got it set for a date so her dad could come. Nathaly was super excited, the pictures make her look scared but I promise she was pumped. The baptismal service went really well, almost the entire ward showed up and we had hugeeeeee support from the primary, they love Nathaly haha. They also sang a musical number for her right before she got baptized, so cool.
This baptism helped the Cachura family a ton, they've been coming to church every sunday and we know they'll keep coming, Nathaly helped her family a ton just by making this decision to be baptized. We're very happy for this family and the ward is going to keep helping them out and it's all just perfect haha.

Other than that we've been really good, I'm honestly just falling in love with this ward, it's the strongest ward I've been in on my mission, there have been so many times where it's me and my companion that have to do EVERYTHING, and now it's weird when people are asking to help us, I'm still not used to it haha. But I'm very grateful. Cool to experience different kinds of areas and wards where different kind of help is needed.
I hope you all have a good week!!!!!! Love you all!!

General Conference

It's been a crazy past couple of weeks I'm kinda of just excited to get back into the routine again haha, general conference was awesome, being on the mission it makes it like 20 times better. President Nelson had some really powerful words and I loved when we all sustained him as Prophet, super cool. I was able to get a lot out of all those who spoke, hopefully you guys did too! There's was a ton of changes but like they said I think it just shows that revelation is real and that we too can receive revelation for ourselves.

Today there were transfers but we're both staying! Elder Sanjines will be my first companion that I'll have 3 transfers with, (that's kind of a lot hopefully it goes well;) But I'm really excited cause I love this ward a tonnnn. Hopefully we'll get to go see more inkan ruins this transfer as well.

Our investigators have been doing awesome, it's just so hard to help them make that first step to baptism haha, but Nathaly (if everything goes well and I really really hope it does) will get baptized this Saturday! Maricela is doing awesome she's just scared of what her dad will think if she gets baptized, her mom got baptized last year and her dad is catholic so she's hesiitant on what path to follow but she's reading and praying everyday so I'm not worried:) We've been finding other people and it's been cool but hopefully people start to progress!
I hope you all are doing well! Pretty crazy how fast time goes, love you all!
Mosiah 18:8-9

And it came to pass that he said unto them: Behold, here are the waters of Mormon (for thus were they called) and now, as ye are desirous to come into the fold of God, and to be called his people, and are willing to bear one another’s burdens, that they may be light;
Yea, and are willing to mourn with those that mourn; yea, and comfort those that stand in need of comfort, and to stand as witnesses of God at all times and in all things, and in all places that ye may be in, even until death, that ye may be redeemed of God, and be numbered with those of the first resurrection, that ye may have eternal life—
